There was a great article in the Richmond Times Dispatch about our newest SMARTBOX owner in Richmond, VA:
SMARTBOX, a portable storage and moving company, announced that Chesterfield County-based Dunmar Moving Systems has acquired the assets and license agreement to operate the SMARTBOX location for the Richmond area.
A spokesman for Henrico County-based SMARTBOX said the expectation is that the change in the licensee will help the Richmond-area location grow its sales significantly after flat growth in recent years.
Customers who choose to use SMARTBOX contact the company, which then delivers its storage containers directly to their door. Users pack their boxes according to their schedules, and when finished, they can either keep the boxes at their existing site or call SMARTBOX to pick them up for storage at its secure storage centers or delivery to another location — across town or across the country.
“Over the last several years, we have seen how portable storage has become a cost-effective way for customers to stage their home in advance of moving, store their belongings during remodeling projects, or store their possessions between moves,” said Dennis LaLiberte, president of Dunmar. “It is a perfect complement to our existing suite of moving services.”
